Booking and Cancellation Policy

Deposits

To hold your appointment slot, a deposit is required at the point of booking. This confirms I’ve set aside time specifically for you.

Deposit amount: £40

Deposit payment deadline: Your booking is not confirmed and added to our diary until the deposit is received. Please transfer your deposit within 24 hours of booking. Once payment clears, I’ll send you a booking confirmation with all the details.

If I haven’t received your deposit within 24 hours, I’ll assume you’ve changed your mind and your slot will be released to other customers.

What this covers: Your appointment slot is locked in. Full balance is due on the day of service.

Refund terms: Deposits are non-refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment. If you cancel with more than 48 hours’ notice, your deposit is refunded in full to your original payment method, or can be used for a rescheduled date.

Confirmation protocol

Two days before your appointment, I’ll send you a confirmation message via your preferred contact method.

You must reply to confirm – even a one word answer like, “yes” or “confirmed” is fine. This tells me that you’re ready and good to go.

Deadline: 10am the day after the confirmation message.

If I don’t hear back by 10am the following day, I’ll assume you’re cancelling. This gives me time to adjust my schedule and reach out to other customers. This also means the booking is cancelled the the deposit is forfeited.

I do this because turning up to an empty house isn’t fun for anyone, and I need to give other customers a fair shot at booking.

Cancellations

More than 48 hours’ notice: Your deposit is refunded in full to your original payment method. This can also be used as a deposit on a rescheduled date.

Less than 48 hours’ notice or no-show: Your deposit is forfeited. If you need to cancel, tell me ASAP — the sooner I know, the sooner I can help someone else.

Why I’m doing this

I’m a one-man operation. When a slot is booked, that’s a day carved out of my schedule — no other jobs, no other customers, just you. When someone ghosts, that’s lost income and wasted time. A small deposit makes sure you’re genuinely ready for the work, and it keeps the system fair for everyone who books in good faith.
